MAKE A DIFFERENCE
TO a vulnerable child's life.
At Compass Children's Homes, our key objective is to improve outcomes of the young people in our care. Our community is comprised of passionate individuals dedicated to providing young people with the best life experiences possible. Our residential homes provide a safe, healthy environment for our young to thrive in. We are currently recruiting Support Worker for a new Learning Disability Home in a rural location near Kidderminster.
One of the most important factors in a child's emotional development is positive role models, and at Compass, our staff are just that. Our staff know that, while the work can be challenging at times, nothing is as rewarding as helping a young person to turn their life around.
The role of a Support Worker
As a Support Worker for Compass, you will work as part of a close-knit team in a beautifully located therapeutic home. Our home near Kidderminster is a four-bed home for children with learning disabilities, equipped with its own school and outdoor activity facilities.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day well-being of the children in your care, helping them to live independently, all while supporting them to reach their full potential. You will also provide support as a Teaching Assistant in the classroom setting, offering help and guidance when children may need it.
While working at Compass Children's Homes, you will build strong relationships with both your team and the children in your care, behaving as a positive role model and aiding the children's development into compassionate, well-rounded individuals.
As a Support Worker with Compass, you can earn up to £24,826 (O.T.E, inclusive of £50 per sleep-ins). We use structured pay grades, so salary rates are based on your training and experience, ensuring that you are always paid fairly. We also offer extensive training and development programmes to ensure you can work to the best standard possible, with various career progression opportunities available. We also offer a £1,000 welcome bonus for successful completion of your 6-month probation. Further incentive based bonuses will be available throughout the year.
Compass acknowledges that our staff have different requirements and are open to arranging flexible-working patterns to meet their needs, particularly in consideration of the home's rural location.
Alongside support work, we have a variety of other opportunities across our community, catering to all skill levels and experiences. If you are interested working part-time or a sessional basis, we would also love to hear from you.
If you think you could have a positive impact on their life of a vulnerable young person, we would love to hear from you.
